The Department of Manpower and Hyundai will hold a training for electric vehicle technicians in Indonesia

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has officially explored cooperation with PT Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI) in the Development of Electric Vehicle Vocational Technician Training.
The move, said the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, was an effort to welcome the electrification era. Because along with developments, the demand for electric vehicle technicians who are competent and qualified in the industry will be high. “If this cooperation is made possible, it will benefit both parties, both the Ministry of Manpower as an institution responsible for increasing the competence of the Indonesian workforce and the companies that will acquire these workers,” he said in an official statement, Friday (12/5/2023).

Furthermore, Ida revealed that the proposed scope of cooperation with the automotive company is to build a vocational training center in a location that has been designated as the Center of Excellence for Vocational Technician Training for electric vehicles in Indonesia.
As well as, developing a curriculum and syllabus for electric vehicle vocational technician training. In addition to holding training for electric vehicle vocational instructors which includes, providing practice car equipment and other training equipment for electric vehicle vocational technician training, as well as operation and management support.
“Hopefully this collaboration can be realized, so that in the future there will be a lot of competent workers in the field of electric vehicles,” he said.
